Blitzed. This is the promotional video I did for Glen Arnold and his Blitzed Nights. Glen lives in Rugeley and promotes specialist nights in and around the country. The theme being Blitzed Nights! Glen loves the 1980′s and particularly the new wave/romantic era. His knowledge in the subject is second to none.
What Glen does is puts on 80′s Blitzed Nights in clubs with the theme being similar to Steve Strange of visage famous night club in London’s Covent Garden called Blitz. The club was known for its outrageous style of clothes and make-up for both sexes, while it was also a birth place of several pop groups.
Glen Arnolds Blitz nights is like stepping back in time to the birth of the New Romantics. The people that come out for these nights are unbelievable. It must take them hours to re-create the looks of there hero’s from a different era. The still images in the video above show Glen dressed up in this New Romantic clothing.
At the 11 second mark of the video you will see Glen with the one and only Rusty Egan who was one of the original members of The Blitzed Kids with Steve Strange. Steve ran the Blitzed nightclub and Rusty was the Blitzed DJ. They dominated the Club scene in the early 80′s as well as being celebrated musicians. Rusty got his first break with The Rich Kids who had none other than Midge Ure and Glen Matlock after he had left The Sex Pistols.

Although Glen Arnold was the only member of the Blitzed team in the video, I have to mention Keith Clews and DJ Duncan Williscroft. Keith does a hell of a lot of work behind the scene to create the unique nights and Duncan Williscroft creates the sound of the eighties.
You just never know who is going to turn up at a Blitzed Night!

This Blitzed video was filmed at Rugeley Trent Valley train Station. Glen Arnold was catching a train to a Blitzed night in Birmingham so we decided to meet a few minutes early and get something to promote his nights. Cant wait to do the feature documentary on Glen!
